Will Pitylak grew up in a farming family in Eaton County and has since owned and operated a successful first-generation farming operation. ​His career began as a CDL driver for a heavy civil contractor, where his hard work and dedication propelled him to become the President of ​a statewide renowned wastewater and excavation company. Will's extensive experience in hydrology, wastewater management, and ​construction, coupled with over a decade of demonstrated fiscal responsibility as a business owner, make him exceptionally qualified for ​the role of Drain Commissioner. His deep-rooted knowledge and practical expertise equip him to effectively manage and improve the Eaton ​County Drain Office, ensuring sustainable and efficient water management for the community.

Qualifications

As a highly qualified professional, I bring a comprehensive set of skills and certifications to every project. I am a Licensed Residential ​Builder and a Certified Construction Stormwater Operator, ensuring that all construction practices meet rigorous environmental standards. ​With licensure as a Wastewater System Installer in over 15 Michigan counties, I possess specialized expertise in managing and installing ​essential infrastructure. Additionally, my extensive safety training includes OSHA 30, OSHA Confined Space, OSHA Trenching and Shoring, ​OSHA First Aid, and OSHA COVID-19 certifications. These qualifications underscore my commitment to maintaining the highest standards ​of safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship in all aspects of construction and infrastructure development.

Policy and Plan for Office

Drain Office

  • Be Responsive and Available to the Eaton County Residents issues and their concerns
  • Support Drain Office staff with Public Meetings and daily issues
  • Help communicate with Eaton County residents by explaining the Michigan Drain Code
  • Lobby and communicate with Michigan Law Makers urging them to Update the Drain Code

Maintenance and Drain Improvements

  • Improved Proactive Maintenance Program for Eaton County Drains
  • Meet with Local Municipalities and Jurisdictions regarding Upcoming Drain Projects
  • Work cohesively with Engineers and Contractors, streamlining the construction process

Fiscal Responsibility

  • Help to Reduce At Large Drain Debt to Eaton County Taxpayers
  • Lower Soft Costs to Petitioned Drain Projects
